Erik Miller

Lead Teaching Pastor/Elder

Erik serves as our primary communicator and preaches most Sundays at our Berlin location. He also leads the Pastoral Internship and serves as Director of the E2 Class. Erik has been on staff at Mercy Hill for several years and has been involved in ministry for over 20 years. He is one of the founders of Mercy Hill and has served on the elder team since 2014. Erik is married to his wife, Hannah, and together they have four sons: Efrym, Rowen, Finn, and Jordan. They live in the Lake Buckhorn community. When he’s not serving in ministry, Erik enjoys date nights with his wife, playing sports, boating on the lake, working out, and spending time with his boys.

Matt Rowe

Mercy Hill West Campus Pastor/Elder

Matt serves as the Campus Pastor for Mercy Hill West. He is passionate about discipleship and shepherding people. He has served as an elder since 2015, and began full-time ministry at Mercy Hill in September, 2022. Matt has had the opportunity to connect with people of all ages, through many different avenues: overseas missions, Young Life, as a youth group leader, Bible studies, in small groups, one-on-one discipleship, and as a chaplain at area nursing homes. He lives in Millersburg with his wife, Amy. He is an avid target shooter, NRA instructor, enjoys taking day trips, and spending time with his wife.

Marc Russell

Associate Teaching Pastor

Marc grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and later attended Cedarville University, where he earned a degree in Business. He and his family began attending Mercy Hill after moving to the area in the summer of 2021. Before joining the pastoral staff, Marc completed Mercy Hill’s Pastoral Internship program. His primary responsibilities include assisting with the preaching ministry and helping oversee the E2 classes. Marc lives in Berlin with his wife, Regina, and their two children, Calvin and Jacy.

Matt Beachy

Pastor of Counseling and Administration

Matt grew up locally and joined Mercy Hill as Pastor of Counseling and Administration in the spring of 2025. Before coming to Mercy Hill, he served as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and practiced counseling for several years before sensing God’s call into full-time ministry. He also worked in human resources and a furniture wholesale finish room—experiences that have shaped his pastoral care and administrative leadership. At Mercy Hill, Matt divides his time between administrative responsibilities, shepherding individuals and families, and occasionally preaching on Sunday mornings. Matt has been married to his wife, Jill, since 2020, and together they have two children, Oliver and Violet. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, woodworking, and most of all – spending time with his family.

Joe Yoder

Elder

Joe grew up near Millersburg and is married to his wife, Tonya. Together they have two children. He owns a successful remodeling company based near Ragersville, where he is known for exceptional workmanship and strong attention to detail.  In addition to his business, Joe is actively involved with Building For Christ, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and supporting schools in rural areas of Northern Uganda. Joe and his family have attended Mercy Hill since 2017, and he began serving as an elder in 2022. He finds great fulfillment in serving the church and using the gifts God has given him in this role. In his free time, Joe enjoys playing basketball and hunting. When he’s not working or volunteering, he loves spending time with his family on their small farm, where they raise beef cattle and enjoy the peaceful country lifestyle.

Rick Koser

Elder

Lori Troyer

Administrative Assistant

Lori has been attending Mercy Hill since 2020 and began serving as Administrative Assistant in October 2025. Prior to joining the church staff, she managed a local coffee shop for three years and worked night shifts at a bakery—a role she continues alongside her work at Mercy Hill. Lori’s role is to help keep daily operations running smoothly and supporting staff, volunteers, and members. While she’s often planning her next trip to a new destination, Lori loves spending quality time with friends and family—especially her nieces and nephews. 

Monika Zink

Director of Women's Ministry

Monika has been our Women’s Ministry Director for the past several years. She is married to Alan. They have 4 adult children, Drew (Chelsea), Troy (Jacquelyn), Hallee (Logan), and Julee, and 3 grandchildren. In her free time, she loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking outdoors, and cooking.

Matt Miller

Youth Pastor

Matt has served as Youth Pastor since April 2022 and has been attending Mercy Hill since 2016. Along with his wife, LeAnna, and their daughters, Emilia and London , he loves serving the students of Mercy Hill alongside a dedicated team of youth leaders. In 2016, Matt founded Veritas Creative, a marketing and design agency that serves clients across the United States. Growing up on a dairy farm in Walnut Creek fostered a lifelong love for the outdoors—so if you don’t find him in his office, he’s probably looking for an excuse to head to the woods or relax around a campfire.

Jonathan Barnett

Treasurer

Jonathan has served as a Treasurer for Mercy Hill since 2017. He is a graduate of West Holmes High School and The Ohio State University. He is married to Melissa, and lives in Sugarcreek. They enjoy going to NASCAR races, Ohio State football and hockey games and antiquing. He is a financial auditor for the Ohio Auditor of State’s office where he performs financial and compliance audits on various governmental entities.

Jim Miller

Treasurer

Jim is a longtime partner of Mercy Hill and joined the team as Treasurer in the spring of 2025. He has served as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for many years and brings valuable financial experience to the church. Jim enjoys spending time with his two sons and two granddaughters.

Tiara Beachy

Worship Director

Growing up with a love for singing, Tiara began leading worship at the age of 16 at her church. After meeting her husband Danny in 2017, they decided to start regularly attending Mercy Hill. She then joined the Mercy Hill worship team at the end of 2019 and became their Worship Director in 2023. Tiara is passionate about worship and believes we are called to live our daily lives lifting praises, adoration and affection to Christ. When she isn’t in the office, she spends her time as a stay at home mom to their triplets, Bennett, Colson, and Ellie. Tiara enjoys spending time with her family, going on dates with her husband, exercising, and doing anything relaxing!

Hannah Mast

Children's Ministry Director

Hannah has been serving as Children’s Ministry Director since the fall of 2024. She is married to Alex Mast and is the mother of four children: Georgia Lynn, Isla Blaire, Mia June, and Elliot Hayes. Originally from Georgia, Hannah moved to Ohio after marrying Alex. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, thrifting, spending time playing with her children, discovering new music, and working outdoors. Hannah also loves meaningful conversations shared over a good cup of coffee.

Eric Lloyd

Small Church Director

Eric Lloyd has served as Small Church Director for Mercy Hill East and West since the winter of 2025. He previously completed a Pastoral Internship from 2023–2024, serving in roles including preaching and leading a small church. In his current role, Eric works closely with small church leaders to ensure they have the support and resources needed to effectively serve the church body. Eric has been married to his wife, Liz, since 2009, and they have four children—two boys and two girls. Outside of ministry, he owns and operates Surehouse Coffee, roasting coffee for wholesale and his two store locations in Wooster and Orrville.
